What’s the story behind the Vantage? It looks so much like the mustang.

Hmmm, Ive never actually heard a story about this. I just assumed it was a natural progression from the DBS to the Aston Martin V8 and into the Vantage while running the late 60s design themes. Ill look into that and see if it isnt just a coincidence.

I don’t know that there is one, but I do know at one time that I was able to make a list of 6-7 different times a Ford model somewhere in the world looked like a concurrent Aston, and usually the Ford was first. Starting from the very earliest Astons, actually. I think it’s just that their design language tends to consistently rhyme with whatever a Ford-like spin on cutting edge simplified streamlining is, and that effect is multiplied whenever they’re going back to past success.
